The Cathedral Hotel Team
We highly recommend that guests make reservations online whenever possible so we can manage our venues safely.
As part of our COVID secure safety measures, we will not be taking reservations for groups larger than 6 people during this time.
Face masks must be worn at all times when guests are not dining/drinking at tables or in rooms, as per the UK Government’s advice
Our priority is your safety. Please be patient, please be respectful, we are working hard to keep you safe. As we re-open our pub and riverside gardens, the safety of our staff and customers will be at the forefront of our minds. We will follow government guidelines at all times to protect everyone whilst they enjoy our hospitality.
We are fully briefed on the steps required and the staff fully trained. We will endeavour to do all that we can to follow the government guidelines at all times.
We have reduced our capacity, particularly internally, to ensure that we abide by social distancing rules and keep everyone safe. For this reason and to avoid disappointment, we strongly recommend that you book a table in advance. You can do so by emailing us on our dedicated pub booking system.
A few key changes that we have implemented based on the government restrictions in our bar and restaurant areas:
- whilst inside, there will be no standing or ordering at the bar. All food and drinks will be ordered and delivered to your table
- we will have an orderApp system so that you can place orders from your table using your phone or you can order directly from a member of our team
- all customers will be required to leave their name and phone number to aid the government with the ‘track and trace’ system
- no more than 2 people will be allowed in the toilets at any time
- customers must remain at 2m distanced from each other at all times (unless from the same household/bubble)
- furniture cannot be moved by customers due to strict social distancing
Garden area…
- food and drink can be ordered from the bar or via the orderApp to your table
- a barrier queue system will be in place at the bar and customers will be required to adhere to the 1m distancing policy whilst queueing
- all children and dogs need to remain with their parents/owners at all times
- furniture cannot be moved due to strict social distancing
In order to avoid as many physical contacts as possible, we will be providing bulk purchase options such as buckets of beer, jugs of beer, wine by the bottle and jugs of Pimms…
Finally, it has been made very clear in the government instructions that if customers fail to adhere to the policies of social distancing, we must refuse service and ask the individuals to leave the premises.
Please be sensible, please be respectful, please be patient, we’re keeping you safe.
